If you are planning to Ride The Rockies on a tandem, both cyclists must register in one group. Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 21 and apply in the same group as that adult. Cancellations / RefundsIf you wish to cancel your registration, you must request a refund through email at rtr@denverpost.com by May 7, 2010. No refunds will be issued after this date. Detailed instructions will be included in your Rider Manual. A $50.00 processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Lottery AmendmentNEW! Beginning in 2011 a weighted lottery system will go into effect. This system gives applicants who have had the misfortune of never being selected or rarely being selected a greater chance/opportunity to eventually experience the wonders of Ride The Rockies. A weighted lottery means we adjust (weight) an individual's odds of being selected into the ride any year following his or her application being declined. The system is based on the concept of "preference points". Preference Points
It is our hope that a weighted lottery will work towards creating a sustainable event; introducing new faces and helping to groom the next generation of riders. It will help to deter people from not applying anymore because they feel cheated or believe the system to be flawed. |
