Primal Wear Mountain Goat Challenge
The 2020/2021 Route has 28,484′ of elevation gain and we challenge you to do that amount of climbing from June 14 – June 19, 2020, the original dates of the 2020 Ride The Rockies.
You do not have to do the exact daily elevation of the 2020/2021 Route. It is a cumulative total and you should tackle it the best way possible in your area. You could even do it on a trainer indoors if that suits you!
All participants will receive discounted Primal Wear.
The QOM (Queen of the Mountain) and KOM (King of the Mountain) will be awarded $300 Primal Wear kits. A winner will be chosen for each gender based on highest elevation gain achieved. If multiple individuals achieve the same elevation gain a winner will be randomly drawn from the top contenders.

This Challenge does not require the elevation gain but only the 101 miles within 12 hours. The 12 hours of time allotted is based on the time the route is open during the actual tour.
Schwalbe Tires will be presenting two winners with their choice of road or gravel tires. A winner from each gender will be chosen from the list of individuals that participate in this challenge.
- Gravel Option: G-One Allround Tubeless Tires 700×38c

The Colorado Lottery has a collection of wonderful prizes including Colorado Lottery Osprey Backpacks. Winners will be chosen at random from the list of participants registered for this challenge.

Flexential has partnered with the We Ride 4 Cycling Club to provide memberships to the club as well as full We Ride 4 Cycle Club Primal Wear Kits. The new membership will also add you to their Ride The Rockies Paceline team so you can ride the 2021 Tour with them. We Ride 4 Cycle Club raises funds for the Cottonwood Institute. The Cottonwood Institute is a non-profit that believes that students can’t be expected to care about the environment if they never have a chance to explore the outdoors. They connect underserved students to the outdoors and empower them to be environmentally aware and civically engaged offering exciting programs that teach students essential skills for exploring the outdoors and igniting change in their communities. Five winners will be chosen randomly from the list of participants in the challenge.
In addition to the We Ride 4 Cycling Club prizes, the five winners will receive a $50 Ride The Rockies coupon that can be used for RTR merchandise or a RTR 2021 Registration.
